From Saturday 4th July, Dalkeith Museum will open every Saturday from 10.30am – 3.30pm, in addition to Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Take time and look back on Dalkeith’s interesting and important past. You will be surprised – there really is more to Dalkeith than meets the eye!!!
Our goal is to create a friendly and stimulating environment where local residents and visitors can share and explore the history and heritage of Dalkeith.
Welcoming the community
Dalkeith History Society & Museum offer a unique opportunity for community involvement with schools and community groups who are actively encouraged to visit.
The new Museum provides an open, welcoming public space where the rich history and heritage of Dalkeith can be discovered and explored by both visitors and local residents. The Museum is managed and run by Dalkeith History Society through the Museum Advisory Group.
Dalkeith History Society’s vision for the museum is: “to create a friendly and stimulating environment, managed by trained and motivated volunteers, where local residents and visitors can share and explore the history and heritage of Dalkeith”
